We're committed.

At Old Carolina, our commitment to authenticity is strong. We strive to bring you the best traditional barbecue that you’ll find anywhere outside of the Carolinas. We are a motivated team of hospitality-minded individuals, dedicated to providing our guests the consistent experience of extraordinary barbecue in every bite of every menu item, at any time, on any given day.

In addition, Old Carolina is committed to being a charitable and socially responsible partner in the local communities where we live and operate. When we plant our flag into a community, we ground ourselves there in the schools, with first responders, and non-profit organizations.

In Summit County, we partner with the LeBron James Family Foundation and donate an authentic barbecue buffet for each and every Hometown Hall Meeting. These monthly gatherings allow Akron families to participate in a moderated question and answer forum hosted by a panel of experts consisting of a parent, faculty from The University of Akron, Akron Public Schools staff, a member of the LeBron Advisory Board, and a member of the Foundation. Old Carolina Family Meal packs are given away as door prizes in the hopes families will continue breaking bread together.

In Stark County, we've been humbled to partner with Wishes Can Happen which grants wishes to kids ages 3-21 with life-threatening illnesses. In most cases, these wishes are welcome distractions as the children and their families battle a disease with all their might. Old Carolina has pledged to donate $10,000 to this most important charity.

We know the importance of encouragement and support. Our partnerships with schools in every community where an Old Carolina is based extend beyond donating free kids' meal cards to reward students, team feeds and placing ads in everything from sports to yearbooks to drama performances. We often seek out and employ high school and college students to work in our stores.

Nothing gives us more pleasure than serving those who have made it their career of serving others. Offering a 10% discount on individual meals to first responders and military personnel, serving food at National Night Out events and sponsoring an "Officer of the Year" are just a few examples of how we show our appreciation to first responders.
